Main features:

GOLDLINE is a project which is unique in Bulgaria. This boutique business building received one of the highest ratings in the country, according to the international standards in terms of sustainable development. The investors are two brothers who have dedicated their lives to the mountains and winter sports. They perceive a personal challenge – the creation of an example for complete symbiosis between the modern corporate requirements, society and the environment. This smart building is inspired by some world-famous pioneers in the field of environmentally friendly constructions with zero emission footprint such as P.U.C. – San Francisco, The Edge – the Netherlands, Energy Academy Europe – Denmark, etc.

Similar systems are available in some of the modern office buildings in Bulgaria, however, those have never been offered as a complex solution in the local market until now. To obtain no compromises in each building’s element are selected the world leaders in the respective field: the main executive company is MARKAN; the facade systems are provided by Schüco; the glass is produced by Saint-Gobain; the elevators are produced by OTIS, etc.

The emblematic building facade features a combination of basalt and glass. The golden elements emphasize the main motif of the building: “Goldline”. The special style interior has flexible space allocation and meets fully the requirements of demanding companies. The special system for advance traffic planning connected directly to the access control manages the elevators, enhancing their effectiveness and significantly reduced the waiting and lifting time. The OTIS REGEN VF drive innovation provides potential for the elevator to produce instead of consuming electric power in certain situations using kinetic and gravitational forces.

GOLDLINE’s easy access to disabled individuals has been ensured complying with the most demanding criteria in all building areas like the sidewalks, entrance lobbies, shops, offices, bathrooms, corridors, elevators, common section, bistro/lobby bar, terraces, parking spaces and yard.

The building has direct access to the bicycle lanes network of Sofia and spaces for bicycles.

CARE FOR THE WATER

Care for the most valuable natural resource – water

Approximately a third of the Earth’s population or more than 2.5 billion people, is facing shortage of clean drinking water. It is a crime of modern societies to use such water for cleaning toilets. That’s why in GOLDLINE all the rain water from the roof and the yard is filtered and cleaned in a special tank. This reduces the building’s consumption rate by more than 90%. In view of heating water for domestic purposes, renewable energy sources will be used.

As a part of the building’s automation system there are sensors to monitor the occurrence of unwanted leaks and abnormal consumption within the entire water mains. They will signal and close the stop valves until the emergency situation is resolved. This will not only guarantee the prevention of damages associated with floods but will also help preserving water as valuable resource.

Green areas and thinking about natural resources and energy

In the abundant green areas design have been applied some of the most important environmental principles – achieving maximum saving of natural resources and energy. Following the BREEAM requirement we have provided for growing local plants in their natural environment and requiring almost no artificial irrigation.
